I haven't been shooting much this summer, mostly due to family issues. However I did locate an Osprey next about 20 minutes from my home recently. A friend mentioned seeing some Ospreys in the area, and it was pretty easy to locate from there. Just drive around with the windows open for a bit and listen... I wish I had found it earlier in the year, but I'm sure they'll be back next year, and now I know where it is. Hopefully I can ask the local fishermen where these guys are doing their fishing on the Yuba river which is well below this next.
Anyhow, I shot some of these in the morning, and some in the evening. At least now I know the drill. The shooting location for the AM shots is well below where the power pole is set, so there is a serious upward angle for these shots. The location I used for these evening shots is much higher up, but does not have the sun directly behind it. I might be able to us a different evening location, but it would be well below the nest again.
Anyhow here goes. As usual, all EXIF info is intact. C&C welcome, as always.
