I wasn't sure whether to post this in the original thread where I asked you folks to help me decide between 24-105 and 24-70 however as it's title was asking for help on a lens choice I figured this duck might get missed (best thing for it I think)

Anyway....This is the lens that arrived earlier this month from US.

It has stunning colour and bokeh, though I'm still learning about DOF especially close up @ 70mm.

So as promised I am dutifully supplying 'a duck' of sort for your delectation ;)

As the pix were just way too small to see at 100k forum rules, I hope you don't mind a link...

Congratulations! You're going to love this lens. Just got one myself. How much did you end up paying with taxes and all that?

Very nice pictures also, but I must confess that I haven't read anything about 100kb being the limit. It's no problem for me to post pictures sized at 500kb.

(Boy I'd like to own a 5D!)

Got it for $1064 from B&H which included a Canon instant cash back.

Paid for a Mack extended warranty and shipping (no tax as shipped out of state to PA). All in all about $1150.

As for the size limit if you use the upload feature it will allow 2 pix and not 1 byte more that 100k was my recent experience.

Is this what you meant? http://surl.se/czxu (external link) or are you referring to size issues?

No, this is just an upload feature

Just browse your images in the box highlighted with red and choose 'Send'. Then click on the link that appears. If you don't refresh the page or anything you can upload several pictures to that same link.

Off topic or not, that's good to know thanks!

I uploaded a FF picture from the 5D just as a test.....I guess I should have cropped it.....This was taken with to 100-400.

Yeah, now it's quite easy to judge the sharpness :)
