Caught this one on the weekend... bit of a suprise finding it out in the open because it is a rainforest species. Early morning seems to be a good time for shooting insects - they tend to be more docile and will sit still long enough to get a few shots off.

I'm just getting red x boxes Dan but by ISP can be a bit odd sometimes.

Thanks Toby... Brian, not sure why you are getting the nasty red crosses... I posted the same way I usually do.

Incidentally, the pic of the chrysalis I posted last year I found out is from this butterfly...

LOL. You don't get out much do you?

Yes, we are south of the equator so when you have Autumn (or Fall or whatever you want to call it) we have Spring. We also have Christmas in the middle of Summer in 35 degree heat. For some reason we still do the traditional roast lunch/dinner!

Our winters are fairly mild compared to yours I think... The lowest winter temp this year at my place was 7 degrees (and that was at night). Other places get below zero and it will snow but not very often (except the Snowy Mountains of course - hence the name!).

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Do the colours look OK? On my computer at home it looks great, but on my monitor at work everything looks very dark...
