Hi

till now I was shooting handheld but found that to make full use of my BIGMA, i must go for either tripod or monopod.

As I am avid bird and wildlife shooter, hence not able to decide on this.

Can anyone advise me which Tripod or Monopod will be best and why and which tripod will be able to bear the load of 30D + 50-500 +2x TC

Also advise me on which Ballhead should I go.

Regards

Rakesh

I shoot mostly bird photos with my Bigma + 20D + 380EX. In 2005 I started off shooting handheld and of course, tons of crappy photos. A friend suggested me to get a tripod. I didn't have a big budget so i shopped around on eBay and found Amvona's tripod. Some of their Dynatran series offers great value for the money. I have been using Dynatran tripods since 2005 and would recommend people with small budget to check out this brand.

For wildlife photography, i recommend the lighweight AT-CF992 or AT-CF994. Or try their new enhanced Nomad leg series AT-L104 (external link)or AT-L105, and Telos ballhead series ATH-A03 (external link).
I think they ship worldwide. If interested. check with them and see how much it costs to ship to your area.
