I upgraded to CS3 this past weekend and love it so far. I've been wondering if, after CS3 has been installed, how long did you leave your CS2 or other version installed? Is it OK to remove the older version of software?

Of course. If you know CS2 it won't be difficult to use CS3.

Before you remove any previous series of photoshop (in this case, the cs2), make sure you get same satisfying results, whether it is in printing (color results) or another functionality, like plugins compatibility or else. Once done, you can get rid any old programs without any worries. There may be slight differences between programs, like when I was upgrading from ps 7.0 to cs2, I got different color cast in printing. Just make sure everything works fine first.
