i just broke my mt-24ex//im gutted,,will this bracket work for a normal flash?

i just droped it..smashed open..im sending back to canon in a sec..im so gutted u wouldn't belive...im off to buy a flash like lordvs cause i wanted one any way for a new canon im buying...does any of u know if this bracket will do the same job as his?

Well they will hold the flash but don't think they will help get the flash head near the end of the lens.
