I would go to such a place.

I would maybe move #2's sleeve up a bit to cover the tat.
Maybe shift #3's top up a bit to cover the modern bra.
and maybe slightly turn #5's head a bit to take the stud in her nose out of the frame, and shoot #6 from the other side, and in black and white, for the same reason, to make them more timeless type pics.

Maybe just pull up a stool and try to strike up a conversation with #7 and #8...

Thanks for the comments, everyone.
Here's one more for the Kajun.
I tried to keep her out of the sun but wasn't quite successful.

The question that begs to be asked of all of your posts, what was your flash setup?

what was your flash setup?

My usual approach to outdoor fill is TV mode at 1/250. This usually prevents motion blur and maximizes the flash range. Then I adjust ISO to get the aperture in the range I want. Generally it's ISO 100 in the sun (or with a sunny background), ISO 400 in the shade. For stuff like this I'm usually aiming for an aperture in the f/4 to f/5.6 range.

I'm not afraid to take the ISO higher if I need to. Noise doesn't ruin shots, but motion blur does. I sometimes slow down the shutter though, depending on focal length.

The flash is just direct, 0 FEC, Evaluative mode (custom function 14-0 on my 20D). Sometimes I'll crank down the FEC a little but not much. Diffusers and bounce cards are of no use outdoors. If your subject is in direct sun, a little -EC will help prevent blowing out the hot spots.

Generally the background shadows are not an issue outdoors unless the background is close. For some of these I wish I had shot them horizontal and cropped to avoid the side shadows. Someday I'll learn. ;)

One thing that will save your butt in varying light situations is the safety shift (custom function 16 on some cameras). In Tv mode this will slow down the shutter if required to get the right ambient exposure with the lens wide-open.

Great GOOGILEE-MOOGILEE! I need to go to better beer fests!
But seriously, You should get the girl in picture 5 in for more work. She has amazingly big eyes. (yes I mean eyes, get your minds out of the gutter) I would love to see more of these pics.

I like the idea in the second set of pics. "tips" ha ha. Get a few beers in some guys, and I am sure she made a pretty decent wage.

Brandon,
You would probably like my gallery from last year (external link).

The girl in #5 was quite stunning. I wanted to get another pose but she was deluged with customers so I never had the chance.
