It requires me to cover the lens with this device, point it toward the subject, taking a photo and then "saving" the white balance. How do I save the setting with a Digital Rebel XT?

Camera Menu 2, choose Custom WB, select the image and press Set. Then find the White Balance menu entry (also Camera 2), press Set, select CWB, press Set. Back out of there and you're good to go. Jon
