just kidding, kind of. Most people seem to carry a flash and trigger system of some kind. I know I will be. At times, I carry 2 550ex units.

i dont have to worry about that..My style of shooting is very very rare flash use. Pretty much the only time I use a flash is when i am shooting macro

Some R-103 Owners may appreciate this

We know how long hikes and a heavy camera / lens combo can cause strain on your neck after a decent period of time. The R-103 already comes with the skinny straps to attach to your camera, however I wanted the option of not only being able to quickly disconnect the camera from the bag when using a tripod, but also being able to snap my Optech neck strap back on to the camera when not using the R-103.

My setup consists of an Optech Classic camera strap + 2 sets of Pro loop / Quick disconnects.

Now for the pics

I couldn't use the stock plastic rings because the camera would dangle way too low. So using the upper portion of the strap I attached a key ring and attached the pro loop to it.

Here's my 40D + Grip showing the other set of Pro Loop / Quick disconnects connected to it.

And here it is strapped on to the bag

It definitely makes for a nice setup when you want to switch back and forth, and relieve your neck of some stress. :)

Op/Tech actually makes a connector (external link) just for that purpose. The Reporter/Backpack strap has clips to fit on the "accessory" strap of your backpack's shoulder straps.

Wow. Really a nice idea to save the neck :) Thanks for sharing. I'll definitely go for it.

Took me awhile to find a comfortable configuration. But I'm flying back to New York for school soon, so I'll be getting the Lowepro Inverse 200 to store my 40D and my main lenses so that I can shove my portable hard drive in there with a bunch of other stuff.

It was like I was playing Tetris for awhile, but I kept on losing, he he.
