Anyone recommend a good bag for -

Canon 1D Mk2 + Sigma 50-500 fitted

Canon EOS-M + 16-35 or 24-70 fitted
Room for either ^ spare lens + 50 f/1.4
580EXII

Then 4 cards, spare 1D batteries etc

If any bag gurus out there can think of anything? I would be very grateful!

:)

Well my luck changed, my brother sold all his camera gear and I'm having his Lowepro 300 AW Vertex, not what I wanted but I'm not turning a free bag down

I currently use the jack Bauer messenger bag with dslr insert as my main bag but I find it quite bulky at times (it fits all my gear including flashes and lee filter setup)

Can someone recommend a messenger bag that will fit a 5d2 + 35/85/135 combo and not much else I.e. As small as will comfortably fit that set up? I've been looking for ages and everything either seems too big or too small

Stealth preferred but not a necessity, can be an obvious camera bag if needed

Thanks

Thanks, that's a nice looking bag, and you think it's fine for a body with lens attached and 2 other lenses?

The Tenba Small Messenger will carry a body with lens attached and 2 additional lenses.

The tenba small messenger despite the name seems large. It looks as big as my 'stealth' bag as it's known on this site https://photography-on-the.net …634&highlight=Stealth+bag

The domke doesn't look like it's got much padding but is a better size I think.

Choosing a bag is surprisingly hard

The combo you listed, certainly (unless you have a grip on the body, but then you wanted the package to be as small as possible, so I'd consider Step 1 of that process to be losing the grip). That is, assuming you're not referring to the 35 f/1.4 L, 85 f/1.2 L and 135 f/2 L. Those might be too big around for any of them to fit in the F-803's insert.

I carry a 60D and 28/85/135 combo in mine. There is still room for the small stuff (batteries & cards), as well as an iPad in the back if you want. There are two large pockets underneath the front flap too, big enough to shove a flash in. The bag starts to bulge out at that point, but it fits.

It's the same thickness as the F-802; I carry 2 ungripped bodies with the 24-70 L, 70-200 2.8L and a Sigma 12-24 or 15-30 along with a flash in the main compartment of that (it's longer and deeper, but no thicker; I use my favorite 720-230 insert). It accepts an F-901 or F-902 pocket on either end that I can use for more stuff, as well as two large front pockets so there's plenty of room for extra cards, batteries, filters, water bottle (in one of the optional end pockets) etc.
