Is the Canon Mark III backordered everywhere??? Looking to buy one now:)

I am looking to buy a Mark III but everywhere I have checked seems to be backordered still...Has anyone found any in stock at a reputable dealer?????

Im thinking Canon has pulled these off the shelf to fix the AF problem. but I could be wrong

No, that is just a myth. There are still big waiting lists at most retailers so if you order one, you join the back of a queue.

I joined the queue back in early march and reached the top of the list two weeks ago and got my camera then. They are still being supplied by Canon and have not been stopped.

as said you need to get on LIST mine took 4 month's but very happy with it.

I saw one for sale off the shelf at the camera store in Amsterdam airport just last week. Even had it out on display in a glass cabinet! Price was only about £50 less than retail here in the UK, so much more expensive than retail price in the US.

Possibly, yes. I actually returned mine last week for AF issues. They weren't a problem most of the time but it did have problems with birding shots.

Other than that, I loved it and will be reordering when the AF issue is sorted.

I heard that too but could justify the return airfare on the off chance they still had it.
