Canon 40D in eBay??

I have seen canon 40D in eBay for 600+shipping £ compared to UK MRSP of 899£. It is available at URGALAXY too. He is supposed to be good and he has a method of avoiding taxes and GST.

Do they have quality problems than EU models??

Too good to be truth... !?

I've bought Canon lenses and Kenko and Hoya bits and bobs from from UR-Galaxy and DigitalRev on eBay with their "no-VAT guaranteed" offers. I got stung for VAT/duty once and simply emailed a photograph of the invoice from DHL and got the money paid back to my Paypal account within 24 hours.

The deals are not "too good to be true". They are simply very good deals. Just be aware of the warranty implications as camera warranties are not international, unlike lenses. I would definitely buy from UR-Galaxy and DigitalRev again. For a camera body the savings would need to be sufficient to offset risk on the warranty side of things.
