Apparel photography

I was asked to be a model [ yeah I know] for my dad's friends company, Pirate Tools, I told him Id be more than happy to be the photographer heheh

Anyone have any good ideas as for how to layout the shirts, gloves, hats, etc.... Like on a live person as opposed to a manakin or layed out flat?
I was also thinking, since he makes machine tools, to have a person wearing the clothes and actually using the products or doing something in a work environment.

The shirts will be printed next week, I saw a preview of them today and they look awsome!

I shoot mostly apparel from my photo studio downtown Los Angeles in the fashion district. There are tons of ideas for shooting shirts and gloves and other apparel and myn opinion is that it's a great idea to support "image" shots or "product in use" shots on models with catalog style shots on a white background. The combination of the two really helps describe the product to the customer which is super important in this day and age of expanding eStore and Ecommerce business.

Look in any clothes catalog. Some pinch type clothes pins work well to gather material in the back to reduce wrinkles.
