I was looking for some light panels like the Lightform panels. I checked my local camera store they said could get the Lightform anymore. I was looking for something 5 or 6 ft. by 3 0r 4 ft., go up and quickly, and will fold up small enough to fit in the trunk of a car. Anybody know of anything?
Thanks

Lightform panels are no longer available. There are some designs that come very cloe and are made well.

Take a look at Calumet, Westcott and Photoflex panels.

I bought a large one and a small one and they are great for a fantastic price. I also bought a stand and arm holder for cheap cheap cheap on Ebay. They work fantastic.

Those are reflectors. Aren't we talking about diffusion panels?

Hee Hee, you are very quick and you are correct. I should have read the entire post, put my brain in first gear, then posted. I am like Photosguy, I am just going for post count.

PS. I have been to Huntington Station a few times, old girlfriend lived in Shoreham. If I had to choose on which one I would want to see again I think Shorham would win.

Hi pyrocars,

Here are some frames and panels in no specific order.

Calumet Frame (panels available also)

Westcott Scrim Jim

Photoflex Litepanels

Lastolite Skylite

LightingMagic Diffusion Panel

There are some others and all kinds of variations on frames and panels available, and of course they range from reasonably priced to very expensive, but you can get an idea and go to some of the manufacturer's web sites to check out the different options.

You can, of course, build your own. Mine aren't very portable, but adding a threaded coupler in the middle of the long poles would probably fix that.
