I changed the diffuser plastic on my MT-24EX from a thick fruit juice bottle to some milk jug plastic that my Dad sent me from the States. Thinner, and it produces a light that's not as yellow but it still "warm". No levels adjustment on this set -not necessary...

The usual suspects: Xti + MPE-65mm macro lens. Images are at 2x.

Nice shots.
Bleh... I'm still having trouble getting my 24EX adjusted properly so that I don't get both flash head reflections on the subjects eyes... ruins the pic for me.

Did you use only 1 flash, or you just pointed one in a different direction?
I find it difficult in most occasions to get the second flash head facing just the right angle so that the picture still gets some light that benefits in some way -- but without having it effect the eyes of the subject.

Do you use any particular "ring" or bracket that helps in this way?

Sorry for all the questions... just need to convince myself that selling the MT-24EX and getting a 580EX II isn't the best option. :o

Cheers,
