Hey,

I just brought these tubes of Ebay, i can manual focus fine but i cn change my Apt, i'm using a 400d.

Any ideas..........

You won't be able to change your aperture because these ring do not have pass through contacts to connect to the lens. You need Kenco tubes.

Hey, i can tell you how to do this.. if you want a specific aperture... (take off your extension tubes before doing this with just the lens on camera) what you do is set your f stop. then push your stupid depth of Field test button while holding that down, you need to take your lens off. after you do this your aperture will be closed down to what you have set it to.. then put your extension tubes on the body then put the lens ontop of them and shoot away. once you put the lens only back on the camera it will open back up. it works good..

jorl is correct you can pre-set the aperture of the lens using that method. Only problem is a slightly dim viewfinder. As Brian said if you want control of the aperture you need an set of auto tubes such as kenko or Jessops in the UK or pro-optic (Adorama) in the US.
