Nice shots Toby. Have you had any AF issues with the camera?

no but I haven't tried any bird in flight shots in bright sunshine which seems to be a problem area for some photographers using AI Servo. Hopefully they will find the new firmware being beta tested in Osaka by the myriad of pro shooters will solve their problem.

Thank you for the info. I'm really enjoying the 5D I recently purchased but.. I think I will sell it in a few months and give the MK3 a try. I'm keeping my fingers crossed Canon will figure out the AI Servo problems.

Have a fun weekend.

My guess is the MR14???, but I'd also like to know about diffuser techniques for this flash.

I really like the first bee also.

Hi RM, nice set of images. Have you tried the Live view finder? I haven't had a chance to play with that, and just wonder how other macro shooters feel about it :)

MR-14 and diffuser was nothing more than tissue cut to shape and sellotaped over bulbs!

I have used live viewfinder when it has been painful to bend my back and also on tripod work indoors. Definitely has its uses but image is hard to keep still on LCD with hand held shots.

Hey Toby,
Why do you diffuse the MR-14EX? Of all the flashes Canon makes that one has the best diffuser plastic -and produces the best light. Diffusing it might make the flash duration too long, and could keep you from getting razor sharp images...

maybe but I dont like the obvious ring reflection and I think this lessens it.
