I'm pretty swamped over the next several months. Between shooting the normal magazine stuff I've got quite a few weddings/bridals/engagements and we are about to start promoting family Christmas cards.

Here is the lovely Ms. Jenny.

#1 - I was playing with a border, I'll fix this one as I don't like it in her arm.

Phew, excellent ... you've really got a talent for creating art, finding settings, making people pop and getting just the right ambiance in your people images, whether brides or musicians.

I like them all but 4 and 6...I hate the pp on 4 and she looks like she's holding her booty...6 is almost floating bride..everything around her is too dark.

(and whats with all the funky borders?) :)

2 is the only one of this series that I think would work as a true bridal portriat.... but hey - what do I know!

I really do like 1 and 2

Well, I would kiss your a$$ anytime but you're too far away! But truth to tell I've always thought that Chris does very impressive things with people and finding settings that really tie things together. This is a huge weak area for me.

If you want the truth, I screwed the pooch on this shoot.

There were a number of contributing factors but at the end of the day it is my job to get it right and I didn't. I wanted to re-shoot but she's not going to be able to do so prior to the wedding.

I really struggle with posing people. I think that is the hardest thing for a concert shooter to adapt to. Now capturing "moments" as they happen I think I do a pretty good job. Creating the moment is just such a struggle.

I'll post a couple of 2 of my major hits in a different section later this week, one is the September cover and another is the lead image in the feature. One I created and the other I captured the moment.

I'd sure appreciate any "advice" on posing, I study and study, look at samples and get a camera in front of me and I just freeze. What I probably need to do is learn 10 poses and get really good at creating those and then ad a few more and a few more.

3 and 5 are very good( 5 a little understated not quite popping, 3 posed but it works) the others have pshop issues.
1. red eye , the wall and pose, not quite my thing
2. a little over posed (unatural), love the lighting, lost a a little to much detail in the dress(soft n blur)
4. not liking the sepia on this one, is she itchy ? Hair n backside grab ...
6. nice dress detail, but the crop is off, alittle dark and the pose/angle its not there.

there all nice images but these could potentially all be greats..
