It was newly emerged as it has coloured up now

You got some good detail in that first shot Alby, very nice.

Interesting eyes these insects have. I could be wrong, but this looks like the first emergence, or dun. They split their skin again for a final emergence with the darker colouring.

Thanks for looking Eccles, this started quite dark then a few hours later it got some colour have a look at mayfly resting part 2.
