I had been pondering the purchase of the Canon 100 2.8 macro lens, wanting it but hesitating. Saturday I went into a used book store in Chattanooga and while in the photography section, found a copy of Jon Shaw's "Closeups in Nature" book for $2.00. I remembered seeing this title in Macro Tips. Needless to say, I got the book and (according to B&H Photo) I will be recieving my lens thursday. :)

Yes, yes, yes, and double yes. The 100mm macro is an amazingly excellent macro lens. It's easy enough to start macro on, but will keep you interested no matter how good you get.

I still wish I could have afforded to keep my 100mm and get the MPE.
