I chased a common darter in flight today. These are tons more difficult than the southern hawker as they're a lot smaller therefore the zoom has to be set at a longer focal length. They move faster as well with fewer hovering pauses. After about an hour of trying I got two that were at least presentable, but they're cropped too much for printing any bigger than a postcard. The darters eventually stopped patrolling their patches and just chilled out so I left them to it. I hope you enjoy these anyway.
