I'm sure this question has been asked before, indeed I know it has, but as this is a rapidly evolving market I'm going to ask it afresh.

I'm UK-based and a client has asked for a printed book rather than a traditional album. I had always intended to use Asuka for this optiuon but recently I've read a couple of threads in various places saying that their image and paper quality isn't quite all it could be. Before I bite the bullet, therefore, can anyone offer guidance on suppliers of very high quality printed books, preferably in the UK? Price isn't really an issue for the client but I would not want to use a supplier that had one of these compulsory 'sample' packages to be purchased before they were willing to do business with me, nor do I want to have to pay out money for some buggy old Java app for designing the books - PS templates would be preferable.

Many thanks for anyone who can offer help on this.

I don't think Asuka is that bad. I have some samples from that company and don't see anything wrong with it. Personally, I prefer to use a U.S.- based company just for the faster turnaround time. I think Asuka takes around a month to receive the finished product.

Everleaf Pro uses pretty much the same design procedure as Asuka, (same printer) but is based in the UK.

Dunno if that helps. I have no problems with the quality.

Graphi Studio have some of the nicest books on the market. If price is not an issue then go with GraphiStudio over Asuka.

Am I missing something on the loxley website? Very limited info and no mention of the Bellissimo range that I could see? Do I have to register to get some useful info?
