I find in the UK anything with Digital in the Title spends far too much time on Photoshop and not enough time on actually taking/showing photos for my taste.

JPG is very different from your typical, mainstream photo magazine. I like it. Price is very reasonable too.

Digital Photo Pro, Photoshop User, Rangefinder, PDN and PhotoLife are the only North American magazines that I subscribe to. I steadfastly refuse to buy Popular Photography. I find it a terribly lackluster magazine.

I do buy a few of the UK magazines. I don't know why but they really know how to put these things together. The quality is really a step ahead of anything that we do on this side of the Atlantic.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

I used to like some of the US photo mags- when I was in the UK - but it was about 10 years and more ago that they had decent content. Nowadays I find all the magazines somewhat on the level of a mills and boon novel.

Somebody mentioned Playboy. Trouble is the models have been photoshopped so much that they bear little resemblance to their real-life appearance.

Outdoor Photographer is probably the best of the US magazines, but it is a niche magazine. I like it because it isn't a shill for Nikon or the big camera stores like Popular Photography and Shutterbug are. It's one of the few US magazines that has more content than advertising.

You can buy back issues of EOS Magazine. Prior to early 2006 it was an excellent mag ... not sure what happened to it but for over a year now the content has been pretty poor.

I get Digital Photo Pro for hardly anything, they send it to me no matter if I cancel or not. But I enjoy EOS Magazine the best. And yes, the recent ones are not as good as in the past, but a magazine dedicated to Canon gear, all the new stuff, is pretty darn great.

Agreed! The only other one I get is Digital Photo, from the UK. A little bit (ok a lot) biased toward the digital aspect, but I find that useful, as I'm not so hot with PS.
