I would REALLY recomment Jamaica or the Turks & Caicos Islands. You can do it on the cheap if you need to and the imagery/landscape is so bizarre.

My next stop is Cat Island on the Bahamas. There are many sharks there so swimming will be limited for me.

If you travel to a place with a nice coral reef the animals in the above shot usually don't bother you.

Everyone should travel more - and take their camera.

Thanks guys - We had signed up for an 'Encounter with the Dolphins', which meant that we were to swim/ride with them. After seeing the sharks in such close proximity, my wife decided that she was fine right where she was. Under a palm tree with a Red Stripe :)

,,,, confused,, I've dove many times with nurse sharks and have never felt a threat from them,,, unlike many other species of shark,,

Yeah I agree...I think it is the Bull shark that is #1...nurse sharks have been ridiculously passive everytime I've been near them. Maybe if you're wading in murky water and step on a nurse shark, I could see them biting - swimming definitely not.

Cool image though.

Awesome!!

I never saw any sharks in Ochie... just lots of barracuda. :(

Was this simply a tidal pool as it appears? Or was it part of the dolphin encounter display?

Looks like an inflated shark to me!

me too . They usually are not dangerous but are known to bite.

And they're all made out of ticky-tacky
And they all look just the same.

I thought it was a nurf shark. No? And if so, then yes, they're very passive. I wouldn't tie a shrimp around your toe and swim with them though...
