Excellent shots Linda, I prefer #2, the flower is simpler than the flowers in #3 (and thus less distracting imho), and the composition of #2 is better than #1imho. Lighting is nice in all 3 shots, very soft and even. Also, the reflections in #3 on the Hoverfly's wings don't let you see as much detail of the body of the Hoverfly.

Dave

Thanks Dave, I think you have summed up how I felt about all three of them, and thanks for explaining how you saw them too, it really helps :)

all looks great but i like #3. guess it must be a closer shot and can see the wing reflection more.

Bill

Thanks Bill, yeah, colour on the wings is more enhanced on this one.

Nice shots Linda - I like the diffraction colours you have captured in the wings

Thanks too Dave - seems like the wing colours are favourite :D

Hiya Linda,

Excellent shots, love em all if I had to choose a favorite it would be #2

The Floret bottom centre of #3 reminds me of the ' War of the Worlds ' 1953 for some weird reason, top picture here http://images.google.co.uk …06-41,GGLJ:en-GB%26sa%3DG (external link)

Cheers for now
Mark
