I really hope we can make this happen, the 13th is a go I think

At this point the only thing that can prevent me from coming is weather.

Eric, I have to play a wait and see game for this outing. I would love to go but can't commit until a few things play out at home.

Anything to see? Anything to see!! My friend you are in for a treat.

The closest good camera shop that I can think of is Calumet.

You could spend the whole weekend just walking up and down Michigan Ave. and not run out of things to shoot.

Art Institue
The Bean and all of Millenium Park
All the great buildings
Go over to the Adler Planeterium for sunrise or shoot the night skyline from the same location
Navy Pier
The possibilities are endless
Also see the thread from our trip in April of this year

Thanks for the ideas. I was thinking some nice night scapes would be fun.

So....like winter coat time in early November I suppose????

Thanks again.

Jon

A warm jacket should do. If you are shooting at night I would suggest at least a cap and some light gloves. The wind can be a litle daunting at night and lower the temp by 10/15 degrees (knowing our crazy weather, I would suggest a snow shovel too:p)

I say we meet at the Main entrance (north) by the Discovery Center at 10:30. Gives people a chance to get there and get oriented before trying to find the group.

Wear your POTN straps; and whatever other clothing required by law so we don't get kicked out.

If you guys know anyone in and around Chicago PM them about the met if they dont already know. 9 is good but let see if we can get it up a bit (to account for no shows).

Thanks Hawk & Franko (sounds like a law firm), we are all set with reservations.

Just get this farm shoot out of the way this weekend and then we can have some fun for a change.

If you and your wife can squeeze around the car seat, you're welcome to ride with us.

Might be a long ride for a squished back seat.
