Come on someone tell me why I should buy a Mark III over the 40D? Its doing my head in!!!!

It is a better camera, just how much better / price only you can decide
the last review posted certainly takes away the AF issues, as it can quite clearly take some still great photos, makes me even more tempted myself

You heard it all before, massive improvement on a 20D, if you sold 20D, and bought the 40D, what really is the Balance of Cost?.. really is worth it :)

Ah - but the difference with the 40D over the 30D is that it really does have tangible improvements for me excluding the liveview and dust movement (well can't call it dust removal!) thing including permanent ISO display, spot metering, better focussing, highlight priority, better RAW buffer, interchangeable focussing screens, reduced high ISO noise, better AF system (including that AF-on button), and those user settings which will mean I can have a not-me setting which will reset CF4-1, and choose all focus points (I'm not so fussed about the larger LCD, nor the battery life, nor the dust sealing, nor the higher fps, nor the 1/3 stop increments)
