collin, what program do you use for processing?

I do all my merging manually. :) I used to use Photomatix but rarely got the results I wanted.. I always felt I lost a bit of 3-dimensionality and the colours present often lost their accuracy. Basically, it no longer looked 'real' and for me that defeated the purpose of HDR. So now I do everything manually!

How do you do everything manually? Is there a tutorial out there?

Lets just say those shots were fairly close to being pseudo-HDR. And I generally get better results doing that than multiple-exposure HDR. Finally, the icing on the cake is no tripod needed.

Did you still use photomatix?

Nope. Haven't touched Photomatix for a long while. It's a good program which I'm sure gave many users great results, but it was a bit too much money for me to have spent for only the short-term use I had. I'm currently looking into whether or not it's possible for me to sell my licence.

Thanks Anthony! :)

Not sure if anyone saw my Beijing from Above thread awhile back, but I use a similar technique to clean up smog:

Before:

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO

After:
IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO

Levels does half the job already.
