I have to keep up to 10 windows open on my desktop at any one time, to see files as they drop in for me to work on. All those windows are very cumbersome.

Does anyone know of a Windows Explorer-type application that allows me to watch the contents of multiple folders at once?

Thanks for your help,

Damo.

An alternative idea and something I use, is a small program called compass.
It is not a file browser, it splits the screen into however many virtual desktops you want.
Open your folders the usual way, space them out on 2-3 desktops, with one click you can switch to a clear desk or web browser, one click and their all back etc.

Light, fast, free and works. It's the only virtual desktop I have used in windows that is as fast as linux for switching.

Thanks for all your ideas, everyone. I'll have a look at them today.
Cheers.
