Ascension

I was out and about in the city yesterday, only had my p&s with me and this statue caught my eye. I've done different treatments in PS on them, wondered which...if any people liked. I left the blown out sky intentionally as for me it illustrates the drawing nature of the sky to the top of the statue.

I like the first one the best for the sense of movement in the statue's clothing ...with the sky in there my mind says "wind" even though the clothing is stone.

photography is so subjective...

my favourite is number three...
it moves your eye more
it causes you to wonder...

Ummm...I like #3, good showing of depth between the clouds but, I wish the statue was larger. cool shots though

They are all great, I like the angles you used.

I like the second and the third - the clouds adds heightened drama to the photos. #3 would be my outright fave if the slight tilt were adjusted

I like #3 here. I agree with gabrio it makes your eye wander.

Thanks everyone for the comments, as mentioned photography is a very subjective experience it looks like #3 gets the most votes, I too like it the most and here is a B&W conversion as suggested by airfrogusmc.

I really like #1. #3 is pretty cool to. It almost looks like the statue rises above the clouds. How tall is that thing?

thanks glad you like....it's not that tall really, just perspective and a lot of cloning out offending buildings in the foreground . jdizzle glad you like the b&w, so do I.
