1 charger = 1 battery at a time - meaning either you remeber to change them over. or you have one charged battery.

3 chargers = 3 batteries charging at once. :)

also with the grip you can have two batteries in the camera at once.

When i do get the 40d i'll be picking up the following:
BG-E2 or E2N depending price difference.
3 sterlingtek batteries and if somone makes a dual charger i'll get that too.
tamrac 5612 shoulder bag or maybe larger backpack.
New canon hand strap.
Hoya 77mm thin UV filter
77mm expo disc (probably used one)

i cant think of everything i have written down in a safe place for the significant other to see. but it was like a total of $1800 or so.

if i dont get the 40d then i'll probably pick up the 100-400 is or something comparable or 2 lenses with new tripod. Can't make up my mind.

oh and also going to try and send my xt out to lifepixel.com to convert to fully infrared.

I picked up an extra battery for mine. I can't imagine needing 3 extras as some of you are stating.

I want a BG-E2n as I like to shoot in portrait - and of course, some top-grade lenses. And a 580EX II flash. But they will have to wait a little bit as the funds as limited.

3 extras because 1 you get with the camera, 1 more to have both in the grip and 2 spares to replace the two in the camera grip, while the other 2 is charging.

POTN neck strap! whatelse can you buy better than that?

The nice thing about the POTN strap is that the neck piece comes off so it becomes a hand strap, which the original poster also wants.

4 GB CF card and that's it.
With 5D and 20D and 2 spare batteries, I think 5 batteries and 3 chargers will do.

Do keep thinking of a POTN neck strap though.
