All images here (external link).

Local festival, about 1500 visitors.
Good line up, fun to shoot mostly.
Nice weather, so harsh lighting.

Total of 1960 images, 380 of which ended up going online.
Used LR rather then DPP, to cut down on PP time and HDD space (380 psd files of approx. 80Mb each: No thanks)
Since it was a freebee, I thought I needn't go 'the extra mile'.

Quality is a bit less then could be obtained with my normal workflow IMO, but acceptable.

Some images of some bands:

#1: Singer of "Moke"

Don't care for #3 but the rest are to your usual standard near as I can see ... didn't we see that last group with the red mohawks recently?

Thanks!

On #3L I liked the eye being just visible...
I have a few more standard shots (not in the gallery), but I thought this one to be more interesting...

I posted a link in 'who are you shooting' thread last week.

Really great images, nice and sharp. Especially love the angles on 1 and 2. That stand-up bass in the last one is insane

very good set. 4 would be better had the red guy not been there. 5 is the weakest of the set for me.

Agree on both points.
On #5: Ideally I should have been on the other side of the singer: Would have improved bot light on the audience and the microphone hand covering the face, but there was no time for that... (Also, I didn't think about those points until seeing the image on the Mac. Silly me.)

I thought you 'pre-visualized' ALL your images before pressing the shutter release! ;)

If only ;)
Sometimes I should have engaged the brain: I see something happening and just react.
Not always the best way, but it does allow me to capture the moment sometimes:
From camera in the bag, at the side of the stage, to over the barrier, in the pit, up close in a little under 5 seconds I'ld guess:

Got two shots, and the moment was over.
In an ideal world, sharpness would have been better...

So Narlus: Seen the Evening set?

#1 has too much space above the head for my taste, #3 I don't care for because the face is covered with the hands/mike. I really, really like #2.

On #1: I think cropping off more of the top (and as a result of left and maybe a bit right) leaves a less interesting image. I tried it, but preferred this crop.
On #3: I allready wrote what I did like about it, but see what you mean.

Almost impossible to get an image without mic of him: If he wasn't singing, he was either jumping around stage, or quite passive.
Here's one that works out okay IMO:

I love #1 because of the way the light hits the background. It could be cropped a very little at top and left side. I like 5 and 8 a lot as well. And the one where the guy is in the pit is actually pretty good for that type of shot. I catch them often, but I'm so short you can't always see much. LOL I need a foldable step stool for concerts. Think they'll let me bring one in? LOL
