I went to the Jacksonville Zoo this past weekend with my fiance and a couple who had a 3 year old child. That being said I had NO time to switch lenses and such so I wanted to see what I could get with this lens around my neck all day. I was very pleased with the versatility, even indoors in a dark room (see the Cotton-Top Tamarin).

Thanks. This was one of just a few decent shots I got that day. The wind was blowing 35-40 mph and every time I stuck the lens up to shoot a plane, the wind caught that big hood and the lens acted like a sail. Even the IS couldn't cope that and most of my stuff showed motion blur...

Cool shot, Jay! I like the B&W.

I thought it worked.

The image here should change a bit shortly as I went back and re-worked the conversion in CS4 instead of LR.

I also cloned it just a hair more accross the top so the pitot tube of the #5 jet (the one peeling off) isn't clipped.

It made a helluva a 14x print.
