I didn't know where to put this. Went to Best Buy today for a CF card (g/f wanted to get me something, $100 for a 4GB ultra II< i told her to wait) aniwho, and they had a 40D. OMG! I loved ti so much, I couldn't believe the size of the screen and the Liveview is a sweet feature. I can see it's usefulness and how I may never use it. Once I get a macro or if I'm doing pro portraits, sure. But other than that, maybe to hold it over someone's head if I'm desperate, but I do that anyhow w/o LV.

So, check out all your local electronic stores. I guess they are popping up. I played with it forever and someone ask if i was interested. I just shook my head and walked out. I think they were getting mad.

I have nothing to do for awhile before Rock the Universe tomorrow so I might go back. It was fun. The screen though is freakin' huge! I couldn't believe it. And someone tell me if the 30D had more intervals of ISO levels than 100,200, 400, etc. Cause that little thing bit is a nice addition to the 40D.

I dont know how the the 40D is priced at BB, but I stay away from the one in my town. They wanted $900+tax for an xti w/ the kit lens and nothing else!!!!

Im hoping the local BB has one in stock because I want to check it out. The local Ritz couldnt even tell me when they were being released (as of a week and a half ago) but maybe they have one I can play with.

I'll probably have to go and check this out. I don't know anyone who has it, so I'll probably have to mess around with it at the store.

Got mine this evening at Best Buy. They even honored the 10% discount with my AAA card (matched the discount offered by Circuit City). That, along with $35.00 I had in coupons from a previous purchase, really make my day!!
