EOS 30D vs Rebel XTi

i just purchase a 30D coming from a XTi. So i hope i made the right decision =X


GEAR: 5DII, EOSR | 24-105L, 16-35LII, 35LII, SIGMA 50MM & 85MM ART F1.4, flashes, and stuff!

Depends why you made the switch. If it was because the XTi is too small for your hands, it was probably a good decision. If it was because you want/need to take more than 3 pictures per second, it was probably a good decision. If you want better high-ISO performance, it may have been a good decision. Any other reason, it was probably not a good decision.

I just did this exact upgrade from XTi to 30D. Dont regret it however I can not see any IQ diiferrence. In fact the shots taken with the XTi will even allow me more room to crop than those with the 30D. But the key to this argument that the IQ is no different is the fact that with the 30D (spot metering, slightly better focus, a little less noise at high ISO, faster frame rate) I am getting more "keepers" than I was before. So in that respect the IQ is better.
My wife still prefers the XTI. She is used to settings being n the LCD plus it fits her hands better.
My conclusion is that it is a worth while upgrade, i do not regret it.

well i wouldn't say its right or wrong decision. i just needed to upgrade to a prosumer type of feel. i don't regret buying the 30d though.
