5D rebates?

I've read that there may be some rebates for the 5D before the next version is released. Where would I look for these rebates when (if) they come out? I mean, how does one find out about them?

The last rebate was aprox 4 months ago and althought that finshed many shops have just recently dropped the price to more or less match what the rebate price was so i dont think another rebate will happen from canon yet.

I think this post is misunderstood. It's certainly not a rumor type of post (it got moved from the camera forum).

What I'm asking is how will I hear about a rebate? I don't frequent photography news forums.... I'm not on Canon's e-mail list.... I don't search the Sunday paper for Circuit City flyers....

Is there a "Rebate announcement" web site or something? Or do I just wait for the chatter on this forum and make sure I check it weekly?

Good Question. I believe Canon has done 2 rebates a year, christmas and 'spring'. Best source is to check Canon's US web site, or your local canon website once a while. The last one lasted for about 2 months so you don't have to "check every day".
