I don't know about some of you, but I really enjoy using Mirror Lock-Up. I find it to be a pain in the butt to flip through custom functions to activate it, then go through the same steps to turn it off, so....

Dear Canon,

If you're listening, I would love to see a new firmware update allowing for some sort of custom button configuration that allows me to engage/disengage MLU with the press of a button.

Can it be done?

it would be handy to have that and you would only lose one shot if you forgot to change it back so now a bad ider, and i would find it handy for a few shots.

Yup replace the direct print button, I don't think anyone has ever used that button.

agreed.

And I'm sure it could be done with a firmware hack, someone just has to have the knowledge, desire, and be willing to risk bricking an expensive camera....

Another vote to make "Print button" user definable. (I think it would get more attention from Canon if these were posted on their site tho)

Actually the 40D does get around this with the Custom shooting modes as one could be set with mirror lock active. That would leave 2 free for other favourite settings.
