Please forgive me if there is a previous post on the subject, but I'm new here.
Last year had a repair on my v3 under warranty.
Can't remember precisely what the fault was, but Canon found it easier to replace the whole lens unit.
Anyway, I have another problem with it now (covers will not close over lens), and it is likely the whole barrel will need replacing again. Six months have elapsed since the repair, so it is out of guarantee.
What kind of price am I expecting to pay for a new barrel, and does anybody have any recommendations for where to get parts/repairs. I don't want to have to take it back to Colchester, would prefer to stay in Norfolk.
