Thanks for the kind comments everybody- much appreciated :).

Troy - I don't get the flies to pose like that - just find them down in the dew and hope they don't fly off when I put a flower behind them.

Allen -Haven't got a small model sailing ship- have a match stick Mary Rose but don't think that would appreciate being stuck in the grass upside down :) Will have to try and find a picture- good idea :)

Awesome shots. Are these focus stacked? I would like to try some drop photos(dew or rain) but it has been so dry here that I've not had the chance.:( How far behind the drop do you place the flower?

Tim, I've found that watering a patch of grass the night before does help dewdrops form but it obviously depends a bit on the nightime temps.
The placing of the flower depends a bit on it's size but normally from about 2cms to 6 cms behind the drop.
Yes the images are focus stacked.
