Yep. I was at the Corvette Museum yesterday, and they had a fiberglass and a carbon fiber hood, one placed atop the other on a rack. Visitors got to lift each hood to judge the weight differential. The carbon fiber felt half as heavy; couldn't imagine how much heavier a steel counterpart would have been.

Why didnt you stop by? You must have been in Bowling Green. Only 2 hrs away from me.

ps- How did you like KY? I hate it! lol

I saw a car tv show, they released a book, and they were showing their photographer, and I saw what he was using: a 5D.

I was wondering why... I mean, Does a body needs to cost 3,500$ to be called "pro" bodies. Maybe the color rendition of the FF, other than that, i don't know.

You should be paid full time to contribute earth shattering ideas to this website and to break ground on the development of a new camera system that transcends formats and markets.

Yeah, I had to drive up from Atlanta (after flying from L.A.) on business. I had time to kill in the Bowling Green area, and the only form of cultural entertainment that I could find for miles was the Corvette Museum.

give an amateur a 1Dmk3 and he/she is still an amateur, give a pro a 400d and he/she is still a pro.

the camera doesn't make the photographer. never has never will.

A pro photographer, like any othe professional is going to use the right tool for the job. Half the srious amateurs on this site have more than one body so I bet your 'pro' does too. He chose the 5D that day because it was appropriate for what he was doing I expect.

I believe that a professional photographer is anybody making 51% or more of their annual income from photography.

Agree and I think so do Canon.. To join CPS you must have 2 proffesional bodies and 3"L" lenses (well in the UK anyway).......

under qualifying Camera's is the 10D,20D,30D,40D,5D & the 1D's

5D only has 3fps .. 30D & 40D have 5 & 6.5 respectively ... so no it is not "better FPS"

sonikempire wrote in post #3885034 (external link)
Pro because of the features...such as faster this and faster that. But if you know how to use a camera. It has higher ISO settings, better fps, etc.. Pro is just a relative term imo.

30D & 28-135 kit lens, 50mm F/1.8 MKII, monopod, tipod w/pan tilt head, 430EX w/ sto-fen omni bounce,

On the brown truck, due 10/26 ... 70-200 2.8L IS :D

I already have Mark III, and I have 4 L lenses, so does that mean if I get a used 10D, I can join CPS?
Got to be more than that;)

The best zoom lens is two steps forward, and the best wide angle lens is two steps backward.
