hawk911 Cream of the Crop  More info | Sep 07, 2007 23:09 | #1 I was in AIServo, and using my 550ex mounted, and trying to shoot at 1/200. I did not stop the action at 1/200th. I was in Tv, not M. I was shooting with the 70-200 f2.8. Anyone care to venture a guess why I couldn't stop them?  Exif should be intact. Is this because I had safety shift on? In this case it gave you some interesting motion blur. The answer to your last question is, yes. Arguing with a psycho clown can be harmful to your funny bone.

I suspect this may have been the problem there as well, but take a look at the exif to see for sure what the shutter speed actually was. And yes, the selected AF point only lights briefly in AI servo (when you first engage AF) and then goes out. If you select an aperture in Av mode or a shutter speed in Tv mode and the camera detects that the selected aperture or shutter speed will result in incorrect exposure it will shift it from what you have set to provide proper exposure. Very useful in wedding photography where lighting can change rapidly. Arguing with a psycho clown can be harmful to your funny bone.
