Last weekend I was at Millennium Park in Chicago and was experimenting around the big shinny bean...I love shinny things.

I was playing around with reflections of the buildings in the bean with buildings in the backgroud. Below are a couple examples. With a link to the gallery below.

Other than converting to JPG from RAW and maybe adding a bit of Clarity boostg in Lightroom nothing was done to them. All EXIF is intact on the image if you wish to see.

All C&C is welcome.

I like #2, the colours of the boundary between the real and reflected sky looks really cool. #4 also gives it good context, with the people in the foreground and the reflected skyline.

Thanks everyone I appreciate the imput, #2 is my favorite as well. Funny thing was, my wife and son were with me and spent the entire time looking at me like I was from Mars. :D Favorite comment from my wife..."So, you enjoy doing that?"

Paul, I can really identify with the comment from your wife. My wife will say something like "You're taking pictures of people you don't know?"

Paul, as with the others I like # 2 and #4. #2 because of the composition and the juxtaposition of straight and curved lines, it seems like an organic vs. inorganic sort of thing. I love the way people were somewhat included in the photo. #4 is great too because I love to see people interacting with the environment. Such a pretty sculpture, I hope to see it one day.

Two questions: First, are you in any of the photos? I've spent some time looking for you, thinking that you may have captured your reflection. No luck yet. Second, what is that wave-like building in #3? Looks like something from the mind of Frank Gehry.

#4 is my favorite: its sharp, shows what everyones doing, and what everyones looking at. It also shows the bubble mirror thing AND the surrounding environment.

I am Henry. NOT Hank. And certainly not a length of rope tied in a knot. ;)
My family calls me Hen, but you can call me Chicken. See you out there!

#4 looks like people trapped inside a big bubble being watched by people. Or, the reflections of the people in the bean looks like their conscience trapped into something like a bubble. Oh man, what am I saying? They are all beautiful. I think I need to sleep.

Thanks for the kind words, these shots were fun to take.

Actaully I really tried to keep myself out of the photos. Love taking pictures, hate being in them. :D

The wave building is the Concert Shell, very cool structure. Always wanted to see a concert there but have not had a chance as of yet. Below are a few more shots of it.

Wow, you have a good eye. Took all the shots with my Canon 17-55 f/2.8 IS. Favorite lens by far, rarely leaves my camera.
