Hi all,
Ive just taken my first shots with my new 40D. I used RAW and JPG medium setting.

Am I right in saying that the only way I can view the .CR2 files is with the DPP software from Canon,(Which I havent loaded in yet)?

Lightroom didn't, or couldnt read the files on import, and I have read that Photoshop CS3 ACR 4.1 cant read the files either.

Adobes DNG converter didn't convert to DNG as well!

So it seems to me that DPP is the only way to adjust the RAW files until Adobe brings out updated software, or is there any other way? :(
Thanks
Ben

A fundamental problem with being an early, rapid adopter of any new dSLR is the fact that there is little software, except from the camera manufacturer, to cope with RAW images from that camera. Even the Windows capability to preview RAW photos rather than listing the names, is subject to this.
