Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to set
one of the custom setting on the mode dial
with the following functions :

1) Manuel mode
2) MLU on
3) self timer on 2 or 10 seconds
3) auto-bracketing

More precisely, is it possible to lock the mirror up, and have 3 pictures
(bracketing) after 2 or 10 seconds ?

Thanks for the reply !

Why don't you give it a try and let the rest of us know. Here's what you need to do. Set your camera exactly the way your want it for making the bracketed exposures, including the settings you mentioned in your post. Then register the setting to one of the custom modes, i.e. C1, C2 or C3. See page 165 of your manual for details, if needed.

Set the camera camera back to your "normal" mode. Select the custom dial (C1, C2 or C3) that you used to register your settings for bracketed exposures and see if it actually sets it for you.

Good luck. :)

Hum ... of course, I ask this question because I do not own
this camera yet ...

I'am interested by this camera but I want to check some functions before buying.
If somebody who ows this camera could check that for me, I would be grateful !

It might be that he doesn't actually own the camera yet and is asking as part of his decision process. The other possibility is that he tried it, couldn't get it to work and is asking for help. In both those cases, asking the question makes sense, though a little more detail would have been valuable in answering the question.

If, he does own the camera, hasn't tried it himself, and is simply asking others, well, I see very little point in that. The best way to learn your equipment is to experiment with the settings, learn how to use it, and ask questions when things don't work out like you expected.

Oops! :o It never occurred to me that he might not have it yet. :o
The question was so specific that I just assumed that he had it. Sorry.

Hopefully somebody who has it can answer his question, then.

I must admit that I study very carefully the specifications before buying ! :)

I just want to be sure that the camera will help me to do what I often do !
