saw them flying around something after i just cut the grass so grab my camera and shoot. think i ran over a cricket while mowing.

your Wasps have more black than ours, rather smart. Looks like they might be Eastern Yellowjacket - Vespula maculifrons

how did you manage to get that close without getting stung? i get stung about 5x every time i mow near the tree outback that has lil flowers on it
