This little hovering beauty started frequenting our yard recently feasting on our flowers. For weeks I have tried to capture an image of it and today I got lucky. My wife says there is a pair but so far i have only seen one.

Hummers are certainly hard to photograph, especially if you want them in a natural surrounding like yours were. Number 2 is my favourite. Your patience was rewarded. Well done. Keep posting ours have left for the winter. i have seen online many people who are so into shooting bird. i never understood the reason until this past weekend. i have to admit that i was so excited to have snap a few frames of this hummingbird i found myself looking into many other hummingbird shots.
