1st focus stack

Still playing with my new lens, and decided to try a focus stack with the Combinezm software. Came out fairly decent, but I didn't quite get the front and back of the coin, and there is some artifact on the right side. Tell me what you think and how I can improve.

not crazy on the subject but at least you got cmz to work. still can't get that to work for me for some reason or another

Like Bill, I'm the subject isn't that interesting, but a good exercise and a great first attempt.

Agree- good exercise- You nearly always get border defects with cmz just because of the changing FOVs- you'll find the output pic is actually bigger than the inputs so you just crop off the border.

Hey, I had to work hard to sneak up on that nickel! I was in the house, and grabbed what i had. I didn't use a rail, with the camera on a tripod, I set my lens to minimum focusing distance, positioned the nickel for the front edge, then gradually changed focus point with focus ring.
