the many gannets of Île Bonaventure

They are pretty and gracious (except when they land, for some reason) but god do they smell awful

With 5D, ISO 400, f10, 1/1600, 70mm

Nice shots. I have been there 2 or 3 times now. It's a wonderful experience and one hard to describe without experiencing it for yourself. If you ever want to be surrounded by birds, Ile Bonaventure is the place to visit.

Last year there were some red foxes on the island. Saw one on the way back to the dock. See any on your trip?

Nope... That would have been nice. We saw seals and gannets... that's pretty much it.

Thank you! Yes, both were taken with the 70-200. The first one at 70 and the second one at 200. I'll add that on my original post.

Yeah, the noise And it's constant too. You become aware of the noise first as you near the colony and then the smell of the "guano" hits you.
