So who's got the 40d?

I want one. BAD. I've been waiting for this. I have a Rebel and was going to get the 30d, but then heard the 40d was coming. So I've been waiting. I'm also about to have a baby any day now, so this is great timing. It's backordered on B&H. Anyone lucky enough to get one? Where?

It is hard to believe that this camera is still this hard to find. Considering at one point I had two in my possession. I pre-ordered one on Amazon, then when they said the 40D would not come in until late August I ordered another one from Ritz Camera and had it in my possession the next day. However, I did not cancel my Amazon order because I wanted to have the camera in my hands. When I went to cancel my order, the Amazon 40D had shipped and was to late to cancel. So I listed the Amazon one on Craigs List and sold it at cost. To which I sold it in less then 24 hours. Hope you find one NOLA.

Well, people keep forgetting that the 40D was not supposed to be "available" until September 20.

Yes, but unfortunally the coupon excludes "Digital SRL cameras" (it reads so in the second part of the coupon).
The other member that posted the coupon says he used it (and I believe he did) but when I went to Bestbuy in my area, they didn't accepted.

Anyways, I did get the camera and now I'm off to start playing with it
