Sunflower

Just experimenting with the new lens...

read some lines of verse somewhere recently describing sunflowers as being 'crazy for light' which I thought was evocative.
I like the framing but the halos around the lower right petals in the foreground spoil image.

Nice shot but as RM mentioned a bit spoilt by the halos- You should be able to clone them out in PS, did you use focus stacking ?

Thanks for the comments. I wouldn't even begin to know how to "focus stack"...what's that?? I think perhaps I oversharpened in Adobe RAW 4.1 I will try to reduce the halo and repost. Thanks again.

Personally, I prefer the colours in the first pic. It has more atmosphere. That's not to say the second is poorer, remember it's just an opinion.

It seems the halos were due to over sharpening.

I like the first shot very much. Hope you don't mind but i cloned out the halo's Only a very quick job but you get the idea.
